Ludovica Gios­cia pre­sented a new body of work cre­ated dur­ing her Mar­rickville Coun­cil res­i­dency. For this show Gios­cia con­tin­ued her inves­ti­ga­tion of the cycle of destruc­tion per­pet­u­ated by con­sumerism in which old mar­kets and the prod­ucts that have sus­tained them have to dis­ap­pear for new ones to emerge. Pack, store & clean focuses on the strat­egy of com­pres­sion: both in terms of con­den­sa­tion of data such as in zip files, waste compaction­ and house­hold storage.
